Two matches in the opening of the second leg of the “Basketball” League

The wheel of the basketball league returns, at 7:30 pm today, with two matches being held at the same time, at the opening of the second leg of the preliminary round, when Shabab Al-Ahly will be the guest of Al-Wahda, with Al-Sharjah meeting its host Al-Jazira.

The round will continue, tomorrow, at the same time, with Al-Bataeh’s confrontation with Al-Dhafra, and the “derby” of Al-Nasr and Al-Wasl in the latter’s hall, and Al-Sharjah, which shares the top spot in the general standings with Al-Nasr with 13 points, in the match with Al-Jazira, seventh in the standings with eight points, is looking to repeat the victory in the first leg (92-47), amid aspirations for “The King” to continue its journey in defending its title.

In turn, Shabab Al-Ahly, which shares third place with Al-Bataeh with 12 points, is looking forward to facing Al-Wahda, which is at the bottom of the standings with seven points, to exploit the technical differences that separate it from “Al-Anabi” and achieve a new victory after winning the first leg (101-41).

Today’s confrontations represent a rehearsal for the Al-Ahly and Al-Sharjah teams, in rearranging the cards, before both teams head to Saudi Arabia, to play the second leg of the group stage of the “West-Asia Super League” for the Gulf region, when the “Knights of Basketball” will visit, next Monday, the “Jeddah Union” in a match that represents a rehabilitation for the “Knights” after their loss in the first leg last October (88-94), and will be followed on Tuesday by a difficult task for the “King” against its host. “Al-Ula”, after Sharjah suffered a heavy defeat in the first leg (74-108).
