The Syrian national team succeeded in seizing a valuable point against the Qatari national team, in an exciting match in the second round of the Arab Championship.
The course of the match
Although Al-Anabi took the lead through a goal by substitute Ahmed Alaa El-Din in the 77th minute, the Syrian national team did not give up and managed to score the equalizer in extra time in the second half, settling the match in a 1-1 draw.
Group ranking
With this tie, the Syrian team’s tally increased to 4 points in second place, on par with the leading Palestinian team, while the Qatari team remained at only one point in last place, which increases the difficulty of its task in the tournament.
