Youssef Ibrahim qualifies for the semi-finals of the Hong Kong Squash Championship

Egyptian champion Youssef Ibrahim, player of Wadi Degla, qualified for the semi-finals of the Hong Kong Squash Championship, which Hong Kong will host from December 1 to 7, with prizes amounting to $224,000 for men and the same for women, which places her in the Diamond Championships category, which is the highest category in squash tournaments.

 

Amina Arfi lost to Japanese Satomi Watenbe in the quarter-finals. The final, with a score of 3-2, and the results of the rounds were: 11-6, 11-6, 9-11, 4-11, 11-4.

 

While Youssef Ibrahim defeated Colombian Miguel Rodriguez with a score of 3-0, the results of the rounds were: 11-7, 11-1, 11-7.

 

The tournament schedule witnessed the participation of 20 male and female players from Egypt, as follows

 

9 players in the men’s competition, namely:

 

Mustafa Asal, Mazen Hisham, Mohamed Zakaria, Fares El-Desouki, Karim Abdel-Gawad, Mohamed El-Sherbiny, Youssef Ibrahim, Mohamed Abu Al-Ghar, and Ali Abu Al-Enein.

 

11 players in the women’s competition, and they are:

Hania Al-Hamami, Amina Orfi, Zeina Mikiwi, Sana Ibrahim, Fayrouz Abu Al-Khair, Maryam Metwally, Nour El-Sherbini, Hana Ramadan, Kenzi Ayman, Hana Moataz, Malak Khafaji.
