"Abu Dhabi Equestrian Arts School" Hosting a Chinese New Year celebration
ABU DHABI, 13th February, 2017 (WAM) – The Abu Dhabi School of Princely Equestrian Arts will host a cultural celebration to celebrate the Chinese New Year, “Year of the Horse,” in the Chinese calendar, from today until February 15th, at the school’s headquarters on Jubail Island in Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in the People’s Republic of China.
The event combines Emirati and Chinese traditions through a common cultural symbol, the horse, and includes workshops, traditional experiences, and performances that highlight the symbolism of the horse in the past, interact with the present, and anticipate the future of horse care in light of modern innovations.
Tomorrow will witness the show “Equestrian: A Return to the Roots”, which is the weekly show of the Abu Dhabi School of Equestrian Arts, which traces the relationship between the rider and the horse across cultures and eras, so that heritage takes on a living image through movement and high artistic performance that combines discipline and beauty.
The Year of the Horse celebration is an expression of the depth of cultural relations and cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China, and an affirmation of the continued commitment to dialogue, cultural exchange and understanding through the arts.
