The Minister of Tourism participates in the International Tourism Exhibition in Madrid
Tomorrow, Wednesday, Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, will participate in the launch of the activities of the international tourism exhibition FITUR2025, which will be held during the period from January 22 to 26 in the Spanish capital, Madrid, and which is scheduled to be opened by the King of Spain.
Sherif Fathi stressed the importance of participating in this exhibition, as it is one of the largest international tourist gatherings and the largest tourism exhibition for Spanish-speaking countries, and he participates in it. A large number of Latin American countries, and Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, is keen to participate in it annually, also pointing out the importance of this participation in light of the fact that the Spanish market is one of the most important main tourist markets exporting tourism to Egypt.

The Minister also appreciated the importance of the official Egyptian tourism presence in such international tourism forums and events, which gives an opportunity to hold a number of official and professional meetings to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation and get to know more closely the demands of tour operators and various airline companies and their proposals in a way that contributes In driving more incoming tourist traffic to Egypt from the targeted tourist markets.
He pointed out that during these meetings, the current strategy of the Ministry will be reviewed and they will be introduced to the vision of this strategy, which will contribute to working together to implement it. For Egypt to be the first tourist destination in the world in terms of the diversity of tourism products and patterns.
During his visit, the Minister is scheduled to hold a wide range of meetings and official meetings with a number of government officials, in addition to a number of professional meetings with major tour operators, travel and tourism agencies, and airline companies in the Spanish market, Latin America, and other targeted markets to discuss ways to drive more incoming tourist traffic to Egypt, in addition to holding a global press conference and a number of media and press meetings with various international media outlets.
The Ministry, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, participates in the activities of this exhibition with a pavilion area of 430 square meters, including 80 square meters. On the upper floor, the pavilion includes 43 participants representing the Egyptian private tourism sector, including 18 tourism companies, 20 hotel establishments and the Hotel Facilities Room, in addition to three airline companies: Air Cairo, Nesma Airlines, and the Egyptian International Aviation Company, in addition to the participation of the Conservation Association. Cultural tourism.
Last year, this exhibition witnessed the participation of more than 9,000 exhibitors representing… 152 countries and territories, with the attendance of 153,000 participants from the professional sector and 97,000 visiting public.
