The Minister of Endowments refers a group of violations to the investigation authorities
In implementation of the directives of Professor Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, and within the framework of keenness to control the advocacy work with its various activities within mosques and raise the level of administrative performance within the offices of the regional directorates and their sub-departments, the General Administration of Internal Review and Governance intensified follow-up campaigns and field visits to a number of the regional directorates and their affiliated mosques.
The follow-up rounds during the month of November included a number of Governorates throughout the Republic, and resulted in monitoring a number of violations related to non-compliance with the duration and subject of the Friday sermon, non-compliance with the official uniform, the level of general cleanliness of mosques, and failure to attend some Qur’anic and advocacy activities. It also monitored some administrative violations related to inspectors’ itineraries, and financial, administrative, and engineering procedures.
The administration confirmed that the necessary measures are currently being taken regarding these violations, with Continuing surprise inspection campaigns on an ongoing basis to include all governorates without exception, in light of the Minister’s directives to intensify campaigns, tighten oversight, double governance efforts, and have zero tolerance for violators; This is to ensure work discipline and achieve the ministry’s mission in its highest form. The follow-up tours also observed many positive examples that express good commitment and creativity in performing the job duty and the advocacy mission entrusted to the Ministry’s members.
