Race start "Amina Hospital – Ajman Half Marathon" December 29
Ajman, December 27 / WAM / The Ajman Tourism Development Department announced the launch of the fifth edition of the “Amina Hospital – Ajman Half Marathon” race, which is organized by Al Qudra Sports Events Organizing Company, on December 29 in Al Safia Park.
The race is considered one of the most important and largest sporting events witnessed by the emirate, as it includes a main distance of 21.1 km, in addition to three other distances: 10, 5 and 2.6 km, which suits all levels and physical abilities. It also includes an open category and a citizens category for both men and women. With a total prize pool of 24,000 dirhams.
The race comes as a conclusion to the year 2024, full of events and achievements achieved by the Ajman Tourism Development Department, and a reflection of its continuous efforts to highlight the sports facade and tourist attractions of the emirate, which contributes to promoting its sports destinations and spreading and strengthening the culture of individual sports.
His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashemi, Director General of the Ajman Tourism Development Department, said that the race comes within the framework of the department’s keenness to organize community events that enhance sports and social activity in the emirate, and contribute to highlighting its position as a leading destination for sports tourism. It also reflects the department’s commitment to the Ajman 2030 vision and the directives of the wise leadership. In supporting sports and community activities, and its belief in the important role of sports in developing the tourism sector, making society happy, and improving the quality of life.”
Mohammed Ali Abdullah, Chief Operating Officer at Amina Hospital and Anglo Arabian Healthcare Group in the Northern Emirates, said that the race reflects the hospital management’s keenness to provide permanent and full support for the success of this type of initiative that contributes to raising health awareness in society.
The “Amina Hospital – Ajman Half Marathon” race is held under the patronage of the Union Water and Electricity Company, and with the support of many prominent partners, including: Ajman Police, Municipality and Planning Department, Forsan Zayed Team, Majid Studio for Artistic Production, Gulfa Water, Coral Beach Resort Sharjah, and Bahi Qasr Hotel. Ajman, Vitamin Well, Infinity Fitness, Ajman Hotel, Healthy & Tasty, and Ramada Hotel and Suites by Wyndham Ajman, and Ajman Saray Hotel.
