91% of the public give Sultan Adel confidence to lead the national team’s attack

The majority of participants in a poll conducted by “Emirates Today” through its platforms on “Social Media” gave confidence to the player Sultan Adel, to lead the UAE national team’s attack during the next two home and away matches scheduled for the 13th and 18th of next November, within the supplementary playoff for the Asian continent, which qualifies for the global playoff on the way to the 2026 World Cup finals in America, Canada, and Mexico.

The UAE will host the first-leg match at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in the capital, Abu Dhabi, on November 13, with the return match being held at Basra International Stadium, at exactly seven o’clock in the evening, Iraqi local time, and the winner of the aggregate of the two matches qualifies for the global playoff.

The poll showed widespread support from the Emirati fans for the participation of striker Sultan Adel as a starter in the national team, a clear indication of the great belief in his technical level and his ability to provide an offensive addition during the coming period.

More than 590 followers participated in the poll directed to a group of followers on the newspaper’s WhatsApp account. 541 people, or 91.3%, voted in favor of including him on a regular basis, compared to only 54 votes, or 8.7%, who believed that the time had not yet come for him to lead the attack. The public also participated in a large number of comments via Instagram.

In most cases, Sultan Adel does not participate primarily in the national team, but his presence on the field makes a big difference for the national team’s benefit, as happened in Qatar’s last match in the Asian playoff, where the player participated in only 23 minutes, in which he scored the UAE’s only goal, but it was not enough to advance after the loss (1-2).

This almost unanimous percentage reflects the level of public confidence in the player’s abilities, who has been able in recent seasons to impose himself as one of the most prominent national strikers, thanks to his smart movements inside the penalty area, his high scoring sense, and his fighting spirit that distinguishes him in big matches.

A third fan pointed out that Sultan is distinguished by his courage and boldness in advancing, and not being afraid of defending, while another said: “Whenever Sultan enters the field, he makes a difference, whether he scores or not. He has a fighting spirit that many do not have.”

Some followers also described him as a “high-class sniper” and “the best Emirati striker currently,” while others stressed that he deserves to play as a starter alongside Ali Saleh and Harib Abdullah on the front line.

Comments in the survey indicate that the public sees in Sultan Adel that he represents the hope of the Emirati attack in the next stage, and that he is a model of a striker who possesses talent, ambition, and the desire to develop.
