The first victory for Baniyas in the league… with the “four” over Sharjah

The Baniyas team tasted its first victory in the ADNOC Professional League this season, by defeating its host, Sharjah, with a score of (4-1), today, Friday, in the eighth round.
Baniyas’ goals came through a brace by Cameroonian professional Lionel Govofo in the 3rd and 37th minutes, Nigerian winger Seafor Goodwin from a penalty kick in the 60th minute, and Frenchman Youssef Nyakaté in the 78th minute, while the only goal for Sharjah came from a successful penalty kick carried out by his Brazilian professional Igor Cornado in the 86th minute.
Baniyas played its best match this season, in a victory that allowed it to give up its last place in the overall standings, and advance to 12th place with four points from a win, a draw, and six defeats.
On the other hand, Sharjah suffered its heaviest defeat in the current league, which resulted in it remaining in 11th place with seven points, from two victories, a draw, and five defeats.
